So the latest confirmation is that Agility and Resistance have been rolled into one stat that combines some of their effects. I just came across this commend from a Bamco community rep that the new combined stat is called "Adaptability."

Also, some new info on stats from the summary of Oroboro's livestream:
http://en-us.reddit.com/r/DarkSouls2/co ... ma_stream/
So, with all that in mind, that leaves these final stats:
All stats give a minor boost to Health
Vigor
-Increases Health
Endurance
-Increases Stamina
Vitality
-Increases Equip Load
Attunement
-Increases Attunement Slots and improves Casting Speed
Strength
-Adds damage to weapons through scaling; increases Guardbreak Damage of Strength weapons
Dexterity
-Adds damage to weapons through scaling; increases effectiveness of Poison and Bleed effects
Adaptability
-Grants myriad, undisclosed bonuses to defense/mobility
Intelligence
-Adds damage to weapons through scaling; boosts Magic and Fire damage for weapons/spells and increases Magic and Fire defense
Faith
-Adds damage to weapons through scaling; boosts Lightning and Dark damage for weapons/spells and increases Lightning and Dark defense
So "Adaptability," like Agility and Resistance before it, remains the great wildcard. Will the boosts it grants be so great that they are necessary for every "viable" character, or can you get by with just base Adaptability?
Another mystery: does Armor still feature stat scaling, and, if so, does it scale with Adaptability?
