Pile of Shame - Switch Edition

Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich nach 140 Stunden Zelda Botw inkl DLC und allen Krogs durchgespielt. Habe dazu schon alles geschrieben, für mich kein über Spiel, aber sehr gutes allemal. Immerhin 140 Stunden unterhalten ohne langweilig zu werden.
Dann hab ich gestern noch Grim Fandango Remastered durchgeschafft. Den Humor fand ich ganz gut, aber als Spiel fand ich es furchtbar. Viele Rätsel waren für mich nicht schlüssig sodass ich schnell anfing oft in die Lösung zu schauen.

Neu dazu gekommen ist Civ VI. Das Spiel gab es für 20 EUR, da konnte ich nicht nein sagen...

Insgesamt ist mein Pile of Shame somit bisher um 5 gesunken. Mal gucken, was ich dieses Jahr noch schaffe.

Ich habe mir auch gestern Bravely Second bestellt, gab es für 12 Euro, da konnte ich nicht nein sagen. Schreib ich mir direkt für 2020 auf, da das Spiel natürlich noch nicht da ist.

Jetzt mache ich auch mal mit, vielleicht hilft es ja bei der Motivation... Bei Pokemon, Torchlight 2 und Octopath Traveler reicht mir ein einfacher Durchgang. Football Manager und CiV VI hingegen kann man nicht so wirklich durchspielen, da aber beides sehr gute Zeitfresser sind, zähle ich sie ab 100h als durchgespielt.

Mario Bros Deluxe durchgespielt. Auf dem 3DS mit dem Steuerkreuz spielen ist echt ein Krampf. Wollte eigentlich noch die lost Levels durchspielen, habe aber ausversehen den Weg für das Level überspringen genommen und konnte nicht zurück. Hab keine Lust das durchzuspielen, wenn mir Level fehlen. Und einen neuen Spielstand anfangen, bei dem man in den Lost levels startet, geht leider auch nicht. Vllt irgendwann mal in der Virtual Console.

Hollow Knight zu 87% nach 35 Stunden durch. Hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Für ein Top Spiel hat es aber ein paar zu starke Schwächen. Ganz oben steht bei mir, dass man gerade in der ersten Hälfte des Spieles zu viel herum irrt. Ansonsten hätte der Schwierigkeitsgrad ein klein bisschen niedriger sein können, damit ein besser Flow entsteht.
Positiv ist das Artdesign, das Gameplay und die Atmosphäre.
Im ganzen ein tolles Spiel.

Gekauft hab ich mir Doom 1-3, sodass ich bei meinem Pile of Shame ein wenig zurückgeworfen wurde. Zum Glück sind die Spiele nicht ganz so lang.

Ich sehe Octopath Traveler einmal als abgeschlossen an. Hab am Ende nur zwei vierte Kapitel mit viel Mühe durchgespielt (und damit die Handlungsstränge der Personen abgeschlossen), weil ich für die Bosse unterlevelt war und keine Lust mehr auf Grinden hatte.
Hab bei allen anderen Charakteren aber bis ins vierte Kapitel gespielt.... dann aber das jeweilige Ende auf Youtube angesehen.

Da es ja noch ne Menge optionale Dungeons, Berufsklassen, einzigartige Gegenstände und einen finalen Dungeon mit Oberendboss (dafür muss man alle vierte Kapitel beendet haben) gibt, mach ich vielleicht in ein paar Jahren nochmal an dem Punkt weiter.

Es ist ein wirklich schönes Spiel, aber für diese fragmentierten Geschichten doch eindeutig zu lange. Ich habe 80 Stunden gespielt und würde vermutlich nochmal 50 für den ganzen Rest brauchen.
Aber ja, die Stories sind echt ganz gut geschrieben (etwas langatmig zu lesen teilweise), die Grafik ist schön (beim nächsten Mal etwas weniger Unschärfe vorne und hinten bitte) und die Musik ausgezeichnet.

Mario Maker 2 nehme ich auch aus der Liste. Hab mich ne Weile damit beschäftigt und den Singleplayer komplettiert.
Wird sicher ab und an wieder ausgegraben.

Legend of Zelda - Wind Waker HD

Hab die Gamecube Version vor ca. 10 Jahren gespielt und jetzt mal die HD Version auf der Wii U durchgezogen.
War ein eher schneller Playthrough ohne viel optionalem Zeug.

Zuallererst: es ist immer noch ein sehr schönes Spiel, mit absolut charmantem Grafikstil und Link, Tetra und Co. sind herrlich ausdrucksstark. Finde einige Szenen wirklich unterhaltsam.
Die Geschichte ist prinzipiell sehr sympathisch, auch wenn man schon merkt, wie das Ganze gegen Ende gehetzt wirkt.
Die Musik ist top und ein paar Verbesserungen der HD Version sehr begrüßenswert.

Aber nach Breath of the Wild kann ich echt nicht mehr gut zu dieser Formel zurück.
Irgendwie schon arg. Hab die Zelda Spiele eigentlich immer sehr genossen.
Aber wie schablonenhaft dann doch die Rätsel hier in verschiedenen Varianten immer wiederholt werden, holt mich aktuell nicht mehr gut ab.
Es hat eigentlich hauptsächlich nur was mit Kombinationsrätseln zu tun. Irgendein Muster vervollständigen, Säulen verschieben, Wege freisprengen, Fackeln entzünden, Schalter/Hebel drücken oder alle Gegner im Raum killen etc. Die Lösungen sind sehr starr und auf Dauer monoton.
Ich bin schon gespannt auf Twilight Princess und Skyward Sword (kann mich da kaum mehr erinnern, mochte aber einige der Rätsel damals sehr, das weiß ich noch).
Aber prinzipiell finde ich aktuell gerade, dass das doch nostalgisch verklärt wird, wie cool die alten Dungeons waren.

Mir sind diese Portal-Testkammern-artigen Rätselschreine aus BotW jetzt noch zehnmal lieber, weil sie wirklich kreative Lösungsansätze ermöglichen. Wenn sie es im Nachfolger schaffen dieses Rätseldesign in etwas optisch abwechslungsreichere Themendungeons mit einzigartigerem Boss zu überführen, wären die sicher schnell an der Spitze für mich.

Der Kampf ist undynamisch und krampfig, die Kamera zickt dabei gerne herum.
Dann die Entscheidung in Wind Waker in zwei Dungeons quasi auf eine Eskortmission zu bauen, fand ich auch eher mühsam. Dieses ständige hin und her zwischen Taktstock - Lied spielen - Kontrolle vom Sidekick zu übernehmen - Figur positionieren - zurück zu Link - Link positionieren - Taktstock - Lied spielen - Sidekickposition nachjustieren... usw. ist ermüdend. Wenn dann die andere Figur auch noch von Gegnern verschleppt wird und zurückgeholt werden muss... ebenfalls ermüdend.

Das Meer hat immer noch Charme aber zieht das Spiel phasenweise eben auch in die Länge.
Keine Ahnung. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich es jemals wieder spielen werde.

Doom 1993 durchgespielt. War meine erste Berührung mit Doom und ich finde es ist echt gut gealtert. Hat wirklich Spaß gemacht. Niedrigsten Schwierigkeitsgrad eingestellt und einfach durchgeschnetzelt. Zumindest am Anfang funktioniert das, später wird es schon deutlicher knackiger. Was aber wirklich nervt ist das rumgeirre, die Schaltersuche und die Schlüsselsuche.
Die Add Ons hab ich aber weggelassen, das normale Spiel reicht mir.

Kleines Update. Aufgrund von Corona haben viele momentan deutlich mehr Zeit zum Zocken, bei mir ist es aus privaten Gründen aber derzeit genau andersherum. Ich hab kein weiteres Spiel durchgespielt, dafür aber Animal Crossing gekauft, was ich noch nicht angefangen habe...
Ansonsten hab ich Pokemon Let's Go Evoli verkauft. Ich hab zweimal die Demo ausprobiert, aber irgendwie fand ich es furchtbar. Für mich hat Pokemon den Sprung zu 3D nicht geschafft, das letzte Spiel mit dem ich Spaß hatte war Weiß.
